What we do
The Base helps you apply for oversize, overweight, trip, fuel, and annual permits. We are not a government agency and are not part of any state. Each permit is issued by the state, and the state decides whether to approve it.
Your responsibilities
- Give us accurate information about your load, equipment, route, and travel dates. Your permit is based on what you tell us.
- Read your permit and its provisions before you travel. You are responsible for following them, including any escort, sign, flag, light, route, and time-of-day requirements.
- Follow all traffic and safety laws. Having a permit does not remove your duty to comply with them.
Quotes and prices
We send an itemized quote before you pay. State fees are set by each state, can change, and are passed through at cost. Our service fees are shown on the quote. Estimates on our calculator are a guide, and your quote is the price that counts.
Payment
You pay through our secure payment processor. By paying, you confirm you are allowed to use the payment method.
Cancellations and refunds

Timing
How long a permit takes depends on the state and your load. We work to move quickly, but we cannot promise a specific issue time.
Accounts and rewards
Keep your login private. Reward points have no cash value, and we may change or end the program. Points may be removed if we find misuse.
Limits on our liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not responsible for delays, fines, or losses that result from incorrect information you give us, a state decision or delay, or your failure to follow your permit. Our total liability for any order is limited to the fees you paid us for that order.
Using the site
Do not misuse the site, try to break into it, or use it to send spam or false information. We may suspend accounts that do.
